Who writes this

The person behind the site, what it covers, and how to judge what you read.

[FILL: name] is an engineering manager with [FILL: N] years leading software teams, currently at [FILL: company, or "a company in X sector"]. [FILL: one sentence of relevant experience — rolling out metrics, team sizes, stack].

This site exists because most comparisons of engineering analytics platforms are published by vendors comparing themselves to competitors. There is very little written by people who have run these tools on a real team and can say what broke.

What you'll find here

  • Platform comparisons that include where each tool loses
  • Pricing data collected from real quotes, with sources and dates
  • Analysis of what AI-assisted development did to measurement, and what still can't be measured
  • Positions on how measurement programmes go wrong, argued rather than asserted

How to judge what you read

Every article carries an evidence strip stating whether it is based on hands-on use, published research, or documentation and public sources. Our full testing process and disclosures are on the methodology page.

Note for the owner. This page carries the site's entire credibility. The audience are engineering leaders who assess other people's metrics professionally; an anonymous source on a contested topic is not taken seriously. Real name, photograph, LinkedIn link and specific experience are required. If the employer cannot be named, "engineering manager at a fintech company, teams of 30–60 engineers" works. "Our team of experts" does not.
